Regenerative Pastured Pork
Our pigs are born on a family farm in the Shield River Valley, just east of us. They are Idaho Pasture pigs, a breed specifically developed to thrive outdoors on pasture. We rotate our pigs every few days to fresh grazing areas and supplement their diet with grain from Living Sky Grains, a regenerative-certified farm in Three Forks. Additionally, we collaborate with our local grocery store and distillery to repurpose waste produce and spent brewers’ grain, helping to reduce food waste in our valley.
Pigs are sold as whole or halves. A whole pig will produce about 140 lbs of cuts and grind (a half pig would then be 70 lbs of cuts).
Quantity of meat:
½ share of pig is $980 or $14.00 per pound
The whole share of a pig is $1,890 or $13.50 per pound
Quantity of cuts to expect from a whole pastured pig
Steaks and chops
Roasts and hams
Pork belly (uncured)
Grind (optional heritage blend if chosen)
Optional: pork fat
We believe purchasing directly from a rancher and buying in bulk is the best choice for you. While our ground pork may cost a bit more, you’ll save significantly on specialty cuts. Buying directly from us also supports local agriculture and ensures that your food is good for the land, the rancher, the animals, and your health. If you have any questions about our pork, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
